MCD demolished 1,046 illegal and dangerous properties between and, averaging at least 30 demolitions daily. This intensified crackdown followed a paying guest accommodation collapse that killed seven people. Additionally, 282 properties were sealed and 47 dangerous buildings were pulled down across the city's 12 zones. The drive, directed by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, saw the highest action in Rohini, South, and Shahdara North zones, and is set to continue.
