The Supreme Court has ordered the linking of digital portals related to road accidents to prevent fraudulent insurance claims. Within four weeks, central government, states, and union territories must connect key platforms like eDAR, VAHAN, SARATHI, and IIB. This integration will facilitate easy sharing of accident details, vehicle and insurance records, and past claim histories. The court also emphasized including hit-and-run cases and the PM-RAHAT scheme in this data sharing to ensure prompt information transfer to insurance companies.
