Chhattisgarh Junior Doctors End Strike After Bond Rule

Chhattisgarh junior doctors have ended their statewide strike following assurances from the health minister to ease medical service bond rules. The penalty for breaching the bond will be reduced from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 10 lakh for MBBS graduates and Rs 50 lakh to Rs 20 lakh for postgraduates. Candidates pursuing higher education will no longer need to pay the bond amount upfront. The state government also proposed a monthly salary of Rs 95,000 for contractual postgraduate medical officers and senior residents.
