Meghalaya IPS Officer Injured In Deliberate Hit

An IPS officer in Meghalaya was seriously injured after being deliberately hit by a two-wheeler during a routine road check in Shillong. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026. Police suspect the riders, who attempted to evade the check, are members of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU). A case under attempt to murder provisions has been registered. Road checks will continue to ensure public safety.

मेघालय में एक IPS अफ़सर शिलॉन्ग में रूटीन रोड चेक के दौरान दोपहिया वाहन से जानबूझकर टकराए जाने से गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। यह घटना शुक्रवार, 18 सितंबर 2026 की रात करीब 1:30 बजे हुई। पुलिस को शक है कि भागने की कोशिश करने वाले सवार खासी स्टूडेंट्स यूनियन (KSU) के सदस्य हो सकते हैं। हत्या के प्रयास का मामला दर्ज किया गया है। जनता की सुरक्षा के लिए रोड चेक जारी रहेंगे।
