A special CBI court has denied bail to Chandigarh-based realtor Vikram Wadhwa in a Rs 504-crore Haryana government funds fraud case. The court found Wadhwa to be a key conduit for siphoned money and a direct beneficiary of the proceeds. Evidence suggests he received approximately Rs 37.82 crore, including cash deliveries and funds through shell entities. The court noted his alleged involvement in facilitating favours for the prime accused and investing diverted funds in properties. Wadhwa's role was deemed distinct from co-accused granted bail.
