Farmers in Khargone locked the main gate of the cotton market in Anand Nagar to protest the delayed start of Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) procurement. They demanded immediate government procurement, as the summer crop had begun. The protest caused significant traffic disruption, preventing vehicles from leaving and forcing arriving farmers to wait outside. Officials negotiated with farmer leaders, assuring them that slot booking would begin and procurement. Following this assurance, the farmers removed the lock.
