Europe Risks AI Cut-Off, Lagarde Warns

ECB President Christine Lagarde warned Europe faces an unprecedented risk of being cut off from artificial intelligence technology. She urged Europe to become an AI producer to maintain autonomy and efficiency, noting that most European firms import AI, primarily from the US. Lagarde highlighted that AI's integration into critical sectors like finance and border control means a withdrawal of access could cripple every sector simultaneously.

ईसीबी की प्रेसिडेंट क्रिस्टीन लेगार्ड ने कहा है कि यूरोप पर आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) तकनीक से कट जाने का बहुत बड़ा खतरा मंडरा रहा है। उन्होंने यूरोप से AI का उत्पादक बनने का आग्रह किया ताकि वह आत्मनिर्भर और कुशल बना रहे। उन्होंने बताया कि ज़्यादातर यूरोपीय कंपनियाँ AI, खासकर अमेरिका से, आयात करती हैं। लेगार्ड ने ज़ोर दिया कि AI का वित्त और सीमा नियंत्रण जैसे अहम क्षेत्रों में इस्तेमाल हो रहा है, इसलिए अगर इसकी पहुँच रोक दी गई तो हर क्षेत्र एक साथ ठप पड़ सकता है।
