Centre's Fiscal Deficit Reaches 41.9% of Full-Year Target by August-End

India's fiscal deficit reached Rs 7.1 lakh crore, or 41.9% of the full-year target, by the end of August, according to the Controller General of Accounts (CGA). This marks an increase from 38.1% during the same period last year. The Centre's net tax revenue stood at approximately Rs 8.38 lakh crore, representing 29.2% of the budget estimates. Total expenditure during the first five months was Rs 20.78 lakh crore, accounting for 38.9% of the budget.

नियंत्रक महालेखाकार (CGA) के अनुसार, अगस्त के अंत तक भारत का राजकोषीय घाटा 7.1 लाख करोड़ रुपये या पूरे साल के लक्ष्य का 41.9% तक पहुंच गया। यह पिछले साल इसी अवधि के 38.1% से अधिक है। केंद्र का शुद्ध कर राजस्व लगभग 8.38 लाख करोड़ रुपये रहा, जो बजट अनुमानों का 29.2% है। पहले पांच महीनों के दौरान कुल खर्च 20.78 लाख करोड़ रुपये था, जो बजट का 38.9% है।
