Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye have agreed to rapidly deploy military forces in Saudi Arabia under their collective defence commitments. This decision was made at an emergency meeting of the Mecca Defence Alliance in Riyadh. The alliance operates under the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, signed in August, which considers an attack on one member an attack on all. The agreement aims to confront attacks against the Kingdom and its holy sites, following recent incidents involving the Iran-aligned Houthi group.
