Supreme Court Refuses to Quash CBI FIR Against Andhra Deputy Speaker in Bank Fraud Case

The Supreme Court has refused to quash a CBI case against Andhra Pradesh Deputy Speaker Kanumuru Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju and others in a ₹237.8 crore bank fraud case. A bench dismissed petitions filed by Raju and other directors of Ind Bharat Power Gencom Ltd, stating it cannot interfere with the investigation at this stage. The CBI alleges diversion of bank loan funds for power projects to group companies through fraudulent transactions.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने ₹237.8 करोड़ के बैंक धोखाधड़ी मामले में आंध्र प्रदेश के डिप्टी स्पीकर कनुमुरु रघुराम कृष्णम राजू और अन्य के खिलाफ सीबीआई मामले को रद्द करने से इनकार कर दिया है। एक बेंच ने राजू और इंड भारत पावर जेनकॉम लिमिटेड के अन्य निदेशकों द्वारा दायर याचिकाओं को खारिज कर दिया, यह कहते हुए कि वह इस स्तर पर जांच में हस्तक्षेप नहीं कर सकती। सीबीआई का आरोप है कि धोखाधड़ी वाले लेनदेन के माध्यम से पावर प्रोजेक्ट्स के लिए बैंक ऋण राशि को समूह की कंपनियों में डायवर्ट किया गया था।
