India Bloc Leaders File Plea Against Election Commission

Leaders from India's opposition bloc, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, have filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Election Commission. The plea addresses alleged discrepancies in voter list deletions and the Special Intensive Revision process. The Supreme Court registry, however, identified 14 deficiencies in the petition, such as missing documents and unclear copies, which must be rectified before further proceedings can occur. The opposition had planned a march to the Supreme Court after meeting the President, but their request to meet the Chief Justice was denied.
