Teacher Dies After Consuming Poison; Four Booked For Abetment To Suicide

A 60-year-old director of Phoenix English Academy in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar died on Wednesday, a day after allegedly consuming poison at his coaching class. His wife alleged that he was under severe mental stress due to a long-running property dispute and harassment by a builder. Police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against four suspects, including the landlord, and are investigating the circumstances. The teacher, Mohan Shivram Korde, had been operating his classes from the disputed premises since 2001, with legal battles ongoing for 14 years.
