Kashmiri Pandits Demand Homeland, Genocide Recognition

Displaced Kashmiri Pandits observed the 36th Balidan Diwas in Jammu on September 14, 2026, honouring victims of terrorism. Panun Kashmir organised the event, reiterating demands for legal recognition of their displacement as genocide and the establishment of a separate homeland in the Valley under direct Union protection. Participants wore black armbands, and a 'Veer Jyoti' was lit and installed as 'Amar Jyoti'.
