Anthropic Revenue Soars 1,127% to $17 Billion Amidst Rising Costs

Times of India · business

Artificial intelligence firm Anthropic reported a staggering 1,127% year-on-year revenue increase to $17 billion in the September quarter. However, this rapid growth was accompanied by a significant rise in computing expenses, leading to an operating loss of $567 million. Computing and infrastructure costs surged 382% to $9.9 billion, partly due to expensive short-term commitments. The company faces ongoing compute constraints and expects margins to remain pressured as it scales to meet demand.
