Elon Musk Spars With India Over Starlink's Satcom License

Elon Musk accused Reliance Jio and Mukesh Ambani of creating a monopoly in India's satellite internet sector, questioning why his company Starlink, licensed in over 165 countries, still lacks a license in India after five years. Reliance Industries denied fearing competition, stating they welcome satellite broadband players who follow Indian laws. The Ministry of Communications clarified that Starlink, Jio, and OneWeb are at a similar regulatory stage, with security assessments and spectrum assignments pending for all.

एलोन मस्क ने रिलायंस जियो और मुकेश अंबानी पर भारत के सैटेलाइट इंटरनेट सेक्टर में एकाधिकार बनाने का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने सवाल उठाया कि 165 से ज़्यादा देशों में लाइसेंस वाली उनकी कंपनी स्टारलिंक को भारत में पांच साल बाद भी लाइसेंस क्यों नहीं मिला है। रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज ने कहा कि उन्हें प्रतिस्पर्धा से डर नहीं लगता और वे भारतीय कानूनों का पालन करने वाले सैटेलाइट ब्रॉडबैंड खिलाड़ियों का स्वागत करते हैं। संचार मंत्रालय ने स्पष्ट किया कि स्टारलिंक, जियो और वनवेब सभी एक जैसी नियामक स्थिति में हैं, और सभी के लिए सुरक्षा मूल्यांकन और स्पेक्ट्रम असाइनमेंट लंबित हैं।
