Yellowstone Park Sees Record Trash Haul This Year

Yellowstone National Park has recorded a significant increase in trash removal from its delicate hydrothermal areas this year. As of early September, over 20,100 pieces of paper and plastic, 5,600 rocks, and 280 hats were collected. This represents a 50% rise from last year, coinciding with a busy tourist season. Park officials emphasize that this debris can severely damage or alter geothermal features, citing the Morning Glory Pool as a past example of pollution's impact.
