Lionel Messi provided an assist to Rodrigo De Paul, who scored Inter Miami's opening goal in their 2-0 victory over New York City FC. German Berterame added another goal, securing Inter Miami's return to the MLS playoffs. This marks the first time the team has won consecutive matches since July. The club, which missed the postseason in 2023, has now reached the playoffs for the past three seasons. This win follows a dominant 4-0 performance against DC United, with Messi and Luis Suarez also contributing to that victory.
