Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) chairman Ranvir Prasad has directed managing directors of all discoms to randomly examine seven to 10 electricity bills weekly. This initiative aims to identify billing errors and ensure accuracy across consumer accounts. Prasad also instructed officials to promptly rectify incorrect bills, address complaints within timelines, and prevent irregularities in bill revisions. Personnel found responsible for discrepancies will face action, emphasizing accountability in the billing process.

उत्तर प्रदेश पावर कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (UPPCL) के चेयरमैन रणवीर प्रसाद ने सभी डिस्कॉम के प्रबंध निदेशकों को निर्देश दिया है कि वे साप्ताहिक तौर पर सात से 10 बिजली बिलों की रैंडम जांच करें। इस पहल का उद्देश्य बिलिंग त्रुटियों का पता लगाना और उपभोक्ता खातों में सटीकता सुनिश्चित करना है। प्रसाद ने अधिकारियों को गलत बिलों को तुरंत ठीक करने, समय-सीमा के भीतर शिकायतों का समाधान करने और बिल संशोधन में अनियमितताओं को रोकने का भी निर्देश दिया। विसंगतियों के लिए जिम्मेदार पाए जाने वाले कर्मियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाएगी, जिससे बिलिंग प्रक्रिया में जवाबदेही पर जोर दिया जाएगा।
