FIIs Pull Out $2 Billion in Two Days as Indian Markets Head for 8th Weekly
Economic Times Markets · stocks
Foreign institutional investors have withdrawn approximately $2 billion, or over Rs 20,000 crore, from Indian equities in the past two trading sessions. This accelerated selling comes as the Nifty and Sensex are poised for their eighth consecutive weekly decline, a streak not seen since 2001. Elevated crude oil prices and high US bond yields are cited as primary triggers for the market correction and foreign investor exits. Analysts suggest a sustained revival in inflows depends on India developing globally competitive industries and addressing high valuations.
