Hindustan Times · world

A Saudi airstrike in western Taiz killed at least 13 people on Thursday, according to the Houthi-run health ministry. Local officials report that a siege by Houthi rebels has pushed the city's approximately one million residents into famine, with severe shortages of water and cooking gas. Human Rights Watch suggests the siege, which began in October, could be a war crime. The World Food Program stated it cannot reach over 600,000 people dependent on aid, and wheat flour stocks are nearly depleted.
