Supreme Court: Children's Internet Access is a Fundamental Right

The Supreme Court has declared that access to and use of the internet is a fundamental right for all individuals, including children, regardless of their age. The court stated that children cannot be completely denied internet access in the name of protecting them from online dangers, as safety and freedom are not mutually exclusive. This right is protected under Articles 21 and 19(1)(a) of the Constitution.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा है कि सभी लोगों, बच्चों सहित, के लिए इंटरनेट का इस्तेमाल करना एक मौलिक अधिकार है, चाहे उनकी उम्र कुछ भी हो। कोर्ट ने कहा कि बच्चों को ऑनलाइन खतरों से बचाने के नाम पर इंटरनेट से पूरी तरह दूर नहीं रखा जा सकता, क्योंकि सुरक्षा और आजादी एक दूसरे के विरोधी नहीं हैं। यह अधिकार संविधान के अनुच्छेद 21 और 19(1)(a) के तहत सुरक्षित है।
