Class 11 Student Uses Basketball Skills To Empower Underprivileged Children

Sixteen-year-old Mischa Lemos, a Class 11 student from Vadodara, has launched an initiative called KhelUdaan to provide sports opportunities to children lacking access to organised sports. The program has already reached over 1,500 underprivileged children across Gujarat through coaching sessions and workshops. Mischa has mobilised 15-20 fellow state and national-level basketball players as volunteers to teach the game, fostering confidence, discipline, and teamwork. The initiative also secures sponsorships for refreshments and supplies, aiming to create a welcoming environment for these children to discover their potential through sports.
