The United States is significantly increasing fees for its EB-5 immigrant investor programme, with new rates effective November 30. This change will impose thousands of dollars in additional government filing costs for Indian investors seeking a Green Card through investment. The fee for the initial Form I-526 petition will rise from $3,675 to $7,615 for standalone investors, and from $3,675 to $7,850 for regional centre applicants. The fee for Form I-829, to remove conditions, will also increase from $3,750 to $5,000.
