Gurugram Records 52% Rainfall Deficit in September; Haryana Sees 45% Shortfall

Gurugram received only 23.7mm of rain in September, marking a 52.1% deficit against the normal 49.5mm. This follows a surplus in August but a slight deficit in July. Across Haryana, September rainfall was 76.5mm, resulting in a 45% deficit for the state, the first shortfall in three years. Fourteen districts experienced deficient rainfall, with Bhiwani recording the highest deficit at 84%. An IMD official cited El Niño and the monsoon trough's position as factors contributing to the weak monsoon and deficient rainfall in the state.

सितंबर में गुरुग्राम में सामान्य 49.5 मिमी की तुलना में केवल 23.7 मिमी बारिश हुई, जो 52.1% की कमी है। यह अगस्त में अधिशेष के बाद लेकिन जुलाई में थोड़ी कमी के बाद हुआ। पूरे हरियाणा में, सितंबर की बारिश 76.5 मिमी थी, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप राज्य के लिए 45% की कमी हुई, जो तीन वर्षों में पहली कमी है। चौदह जिलों में कम बारिश हुई, जिसमें भिवानी में 84% की सबसे अधिक कमी दर्ज की गई। IMD के एक अधिकारी ने अल नीनो और मानसून ट्रफ की स्थिति को राज्य में कमजोर मानसून और कम बारिश में योगदान देने वाले कारकों के रूप में उद्धृत किया।
