NHAI Builds India's First Soundproof Road Through Tiger Reserve

NHAI has constructed a unique soundproof road on National Highway 45, specifically on the Bhopal-Jabalpur section. This road passes through the Veeraangana Durgawati Tiger Reserve, an area with significant wildlife movement, including tigers. To mitigate animal-vehicle collisions, the road features a special layer that dampens tire noise and a red-colored surface to alert drivers to slow down. Additionally, 25 wildlife underpasses have been built to create safe corridors for animals.

NHAI ने नेशनल हाईवे 45 पर, खास तौर पर भोपाल-जबलपुर सेक्शन पर, एक अनोखी साउंडप्रूफ सड़क बनाई है। यह सड़क वीरांगना दुर्गावती टाइगर रिजर्व से होकर गुज़रती है, जो बाघों सहित वन्यजीवों की आवाजाही का एक महत्वपूर्ण इलाका है। जानवरों और गाड़ियों की टक्कर को कम करने के लिए, सड़क में एक खास परत लगाई गई है जो टायरों के शोर को कम करती है और लाल रंग की सतह ड्राइवरों को धीमा होने का संकेत देती है। इसके अलावा, जानवरों के लिए सुरक्षित गलियारे बनाने के लिए 25 वन्यजीव अंडरपास भी बनाए गए हैं।
