Chintamani Group to manage Anand Niketan College

Chintamani Institutions has emerged as the preferred bidder to take over the management of the six-decade-old Anand Niketan College in Warora. The college, founded by social reformer Baba Amte, is affiliated with Gondwana University and offers science and commerce courses. The current management cited the deteriorating condition of the college building, requiring an estimated ₹110 crore for reconstruction, as a major concern. After struggling to raise funds, Maharogi Sewa Samiti invited expressions of interest for management transfer.

चिंटामणि इंस्टीट्यूशंस छह दशक पुराने आनंद निकेतन कॉलेज, वरोरा का प्रबंधन संभालने के लिए पसंदीदा बोलीदाता बनकर उभरा है। यह कॉलेज, जिसकी स्थापना समाज सुधारक बाबा आम्टे ने की थी, गोंडवाना यूनिवर्सिटी से संबद्ध है और विज्ञान व वाणिज्य के कोर्स कराता है। वर्तमान प्रबंधन ने कॉलेज भवन की बिगड़ती हालत का हवाला दिया, जिसके पुनर्निर्माण के लिए अनुमानित ₹110 करोड़ की आवश्यकता है। फंड जुटाने में संघर्ष के बाद, महारोगी सेवा समिति ने प्रबंधन हस्तांतरण के लिए रुचि की अभिव्यक्ति आमंत्रित की थी।
