Law Graduates Must Uphold Justice, Constitution: Chief Justice of India

CJI Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud urged law graduates to remain committed to justice, fairness, and constitutional values. Speaking at the 34th convocation of the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru, he emphasized that the legal profession demands moral courage, independent thinking, and social responsibility beyond mere knowledge of laws. The CJI highlighted that legal education aims to foster understanding and dialogue among diverse perspectives, strengthening the justice system. He also remembered a deceased student, Urvashi Krishnatreya, during the ceremony.

CJI धनंजय वाई चंद्रचूड ने कानून स्नातकों से न्याय, निष्पक्षता और संवैधानिक मूल्यों के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध रहने का आग्रह किया। बेंगलुरु में नेशनल लॉ स्कूल ऑफ इंडिया यूनिवर्सिटी के 34वें दीक्षांत समारोह में बोलते हुए, उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि कानूनी पेशे में केवल कानूनों के ज्ञान से परे नैतिक साहस, स्वतंत्र सोच और सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी की आवश्यकता होती है। सीजेआई ने रेखांकित किया कि कानूनी शिक्षा का उद्देश्य विविध दृष्टिकोणों के बीच समझ और संवाद को बढ़ावा देना है, जिससे न्याय प्रणाली मजबूत हो। उन्होंने समारोह के दौरान एक दिवंगत छात्रा, उर्वशी कृष्णत्रेय को भी याद किया।
