Gold prices in Delhi fell for the third consecutive day, dropping by Rs 1,800 to Rs 1,50,800 per 10 grams. Silver prices also continued their decline, falling by Rs 5,000 to Rs 2,21,000 per 10 grams. Over the past three days, gold has decreased by Rs 3,600 and silver by Rs 7,500. The strengthening rupee, which closed at 95.17 against the US dollar, is putting pressure on domestic prices of these precious metals. Analysts suggest that while festive demand might offer some support, further rupee appreciation could limit price gains.
