उत्तर प्रदेश के आजमगढ़ में विश्वकर्मा श्रम सम्मान योजना का मकसद पारंपरिक कारीगरों और शिल्पकारों को आर्थिक मदद देकर सशक्त बनाना है। योग्य लोग, जैसे लोहार, कुम्हार, बढ़ई और दर्जी, अपने व्यवसाय को शुरू करने या बढ़ाने के लिए ₹10 लाख तक का बिना ब्याज का लोन ले सकते हैं। योजना के तहत ट्रेनिंग पूरी करने वाले लाभार्थियों को लोन की रकम पर 15% की सब्सिडी मिलेगी। आवेदन करने वालों को आधार, पैन और ट्रेनिंग सर्टिफिकेट जैसे दस्तावेज़ जमा करने होंगे, जिसमें जाति के अनुसार योगदान के नियम अलग-अलग होंगे। इस पहल का उद्देश्य पैतृक श्रमिकों के आर्थिक उत्थान और आजीविका को बढ़ावा देना है।
