Iowa Plant Recycles Wind Turbine Blades

A new facility in Fairfax, Iowa, is recycling old wind turbine blades into usable materials. Regen Fiber uses an all-mechanical process, avoiding heat and chemicals, to shred blades into fibres and additives. These can then be incorporated into concrete, mortar, and asphalt. The plant aims to process over 30,000 tons of blades annually, offering a sustainable solution for waste management in the renewable energy sector.
