High Court Restores Sarafa Food Stalls in Indore

The Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has quashed the IMC selective vendor list for the Sarafa Night Chaupati. The court ruled that the IMC acted arbitrarily by allowing only a specific group of 80 vendors to resume business. Food vendors removed without notice or a hearing were ordered back to their sites. The court emphasized that permanent shop owners' consent, not associations or IMC, should govern vending rights outside their premises.

हाई कोर्ट ने इंदौर के सराफा फूड स्टॉल्स बहाल किए

मध्य प्रदेश हाई कोर्ट की इंदौर बेंच ने सराफा नाइट चौपाटी के लिए IMC की चुनिंदा विक्रेताओं की सूची रद्द कर दी है। कोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया कि IMC ने सिर्फ 80 विक्रेताओं के एक खास समूह को ही व्यापार फिर से शुरू करने की अनुमति देकर मनमाना काम किया। बिना नोटिस या सुनवाई के हटाए गए खाद्य विक्रेताओं को उनकी जगहों पर वापस जाने का आदेश दिया गया। कोर्ट ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि स्थायी दुकान मालिकों की सहमति, न कि संघों या IMC को, उनकी इमारतों के बाहर वेंडिंग अधिकारों को नियंत्रित करना चाहिए।
