Gold ETF Inflows Dip to ₹3,300 Crore in October Amid AMC Fund Suspensions
Business Standard · stocks
Investments in gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw a slowdown in October, attracting an estimated ₹3,300 crore compared to ₹4,450 crore in September. This decline occurred as most asset management companies (AMCs) suspended subscriptions to their gold fund of funds (FoFs) in the latter half of the month. Fund houses acted on Sebi's directive due to concerns over rising gold imports and pressure on the rupee. Gold prices have eased significantly in recent months, falling nearly 10 per cent in the two months ending October 31.
