Newborn Girl Found Abandoned on Chennai Roadside With Umbilical Cord Attached

A newborn female baby was discovered abandoned on a roadside in Neelankarai, Chennai, on Wednesday morning, with her umbilical cord still attached. Residents alerted the Neelankarai police, who promptly rescued the infant. The baby was initially taken to a private hospital for first aid and then transferred to the Government Children’s Hospital in Egmore for medical observation. Police are now reviewing CCTV footage to identify the individuals responsible for abandoning the child and understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.

बुधवार की सुबह चेन्नई के नीलंकरई में सड़क किनारे एक नवजात बच्ची लावारिस हालत में मिली, जिसकी नाल (अम्बिलिकल कॉर्ड) अभी भी जुड़ी हुई थी। स्थानीय लोगों ने नीलंकरई पुलिस को सूचना दी, जिन्होंने तुरंत बच्ची को बचाया। बच्ची को पहले प्राथमिक उपचार के लिए एक निजी अस्पताल ले जाया गया और फिर मेडिकल निगरानी के लिए एग्मोर के सरकारी बाल अस्पताल में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया। पुलिस अब सीसीटीवी फुटेज की जांच कर रही है ताकि बच्ची को छोड़ने वाले लोगों की पहचान की जा सके और घटना के पीछे की परिस्थितियों को समझा जा सके।
