उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने वोटर लिस्ट में गड़बड़ी के बाद कड़े कदम उठाने की घोषणा की है। वोटर लिस्ट तैयार करने में किसी भी तरह की लापरवाही के लिए अब DM और DEO सहित अधिकारियों को जवाबदेह ठहराया जाएगा। यह कार्रवाई पीलीभीत में दो SDM और एक कंप्यूटर सहायक के खिलाफ अनियमितताओं के चलते हुई थी। चुनाव आयोग ने आगरा के शिक्षक निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के तीन मतदान केंद्रों पर बूथ कैप्चरिंग और गड़बड़ी की रिपोर्ट के बाद पुनः मतदान की भी सिफारिश की है। सटीकता और जवाबदेही सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सभी जिलों में वोटर लिस्ट की जांच चल रही है।
