Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has outlined Mission Samudra, a Rs 400-crore initiative announced in the 2026-27 state budget, as a long-term strategy for economic growth. He emphasized integrating ports, waterways, and transport networks with global markets to create jobs and boost exports. The mission aims to leverage the 'possibilities of the sea' beyond shipping, encompassing logistics, fisheries, tourism, and marine technology.

केरल के मुख्यमंत्री वी. डी. सतीशण ने 2026-27 के राज्य बजट में घोषित मिशन समुद्र की रूपरेखा बताई है। यह 400 करोड़ रुपये की योजना आर्थिक विकास के लिए एक दीर्घकालिक रणनीति है। उन्होंने बंदरगाहों, जलमार्गों और परिवहन नेटवर्क को वैश्विक बाजारों से जोड़ने पर जोर दिया ताकि रोजगार पैदा हो और निर्यात बढ़े। इस मिशन का लक्ष्य शिपिंग से परे 'समुद्र की संभावनाओं' का लाभ उठाना है, जिसमें लॉजिस्टिक्स, मत्स्य पालन, पर्यटन और समुद्री प्रौद्योगिकी शामिल हैं।
