A tanker sailing off Qatar's northern coast was hit by multiple projectiles, resulting in casualties, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency reported. The incident occurred approximately 94 kilometres north of Madinat ash Shamal. UKMTO did not specify the number of fatalities or injuries and stated that authorities are investigating the attack. This event follows a reported increase in maritime attacks within the Strait of Hormuz, though an attack in this specific Gulf location is considered unusual.
