United Spirits Reports 7.8% Decline in Net Profit for Q2

Diageo-controlled United Spirits has reported a 7.8% decline in its net profit for the September quarter, falling to Rs 428 crore from Rs 464 crore in the previous year. The company's overall income also saw a decrease of 2.7%, amounting to Rs 7,079 crore. Revenue from operations, including excise duty, declined by 2.6% to Rs 7,014 crore. A larger loss in its sports business was cited as the primary reason for the profit reduction.

Diageo-नियंत्रित यूनाइटेड स्पिरिट्स ने सितंबर तिमाही में अपने नेट प्रॉफिट में 7.8% की गिरावट दर्ज की है, जो पिछले साल के 464 करोड़ रुपये से घटकर 428 करोड़ रुपये हो गया है। कंपनी की कुल आय में भी 2.7% की कमी आई है, जो 7,079 करोड़ रुपये रही। एक्साइज ड्यूटी सहित ऑपरेशंस से रेवेन्यू 2.6% घटकर 7,014 करोड़ रुपये हो गया। प्रॉफिट में कमी का मुख्य कारण स्पोर्ट्स बिजनेस में बड़ा घाटा बताया गया है।
