Chaliha secured a straight-games victory with scores of 21-18 and 22-20, showcasing resilience in the second game. Meanwhile, fellow Indian Unnati Hooda faced a tough challenge and was eliminated in the round of 32, losing to China's Han Qian Xi. Hooda's match also went to three games, with scores of 21-23, 21-16, and 16-21.
