Uttar Pradesh to Hike Pension for Persons with Disabilities Again Soon

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the pension amount for persons with disabilities will be increased again soon. He also directed officials to establish district disability rehabilitation centres in all 18 divisions of the state. The government has previously increased the pension from ₹300 to ₹500 and then to ₹1,000. Adityanath stressed that welfare schemes must reach every individual without discrimination, calling it the first principle of good governance. The state has already provided digital identification cards to over 17 lakh persons with disabilities.
