Govt Schools Host Games Without Instructors, Funds

Hindustan Times · education

Government primary schools are struggling to organize block-level sports events due to a lack of dedicated instructors and delayed fund releases. Teachers are reportedly using their own money or seeking local panchayat aid. Sanctioned grants of ₹2,000 for centre-level and ₹5,000 for block-level games remain unreleased, even after centre-level competitions concluded. The absence of physical training instructors further complicates matters, with recruitment stalled due to ongoing court cases.
