UP Govt Ready For Panchayat Polls, Awaiting OBC Panel Report: Minister

Uttar Pradesh's panchayati raj minister Om Prakash Rajbhar stated the government is prepared for upcoming panchayat elections, awaiting the Other Backward Classes (OBC) Commission report. The Allahabad High Court had previously directed the State Election Commission to conduct these elections within three months. Rajbhar indicated that election dates will be announced once the report is submitted, which is expected within a month. Ballot papers have already been distributed to districts, confirming the government's commitment to proceeding with the polls without further legal delays.

उत्तर प्रदेश के पंचायती राज मंत्री ओम प्रकाश राजभर ने कहा कि सरकार आगामी पंचायत चुनावों के लिए तैयार है और अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग (ओबीसी) आयोग की रिपोर्ट का इंतज़ार कर रही है। इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने पहले राज्य चुनाव आयोग को तीन महीने के भीतर ये चुनाव कराने का निर्देश दिया था। राजभर ने संकेत दिया कि रिपोर्ट जमा होने के बाद चुनाव की तारीखों की घोषणा की जाएगी, जिसके एक महीने के भीतर आने की उम्मीद है। मतपत्र पहले ही जिलों में वितरित किए जा चुके हैं, जो सरकार की बिना किसी और कानूनी देरी के चुनावों के साथ आगे बढ़ने की प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि करता है।
