Bihar Land Mafia Racket Busted; Rs 27 Lakh Cash, Arms Seized

Police in Bihar's Motihari district conducted a major raid on the residence of alleged land mafia Rakesh Sharma. The operation, led by three DSPs, resulted in the seizure of Rs 27 lakh in cash, two rifles, two pistols, approximately 100 rounds of ammunition, and six bottles of branded liquor. Additionally, over 65 land registry documents, valued at more than Rs 15 crore, were confiscated. While Sharma escaped, his son was arrested and is being interrogated. This action has sent shockwaves among other land mafias in the district.

बिहार के मोतिहारी जिले में पुलिस ने कथित लैंड माफिया राकेश शर्मा के आवास पर एक बड़ी छापेमारी की। तीन डीएसपी के नेतृत्व में हुई इस कार्रवाई में 27 लाख रुपये नकद, दो राइफल, दो पिस्तौल, लगभग 100 राउंड गोलियां और ब्रांडेड शराब की छह बोतलें जब्त की गईं। इसके अलावा, 15 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य के 65 से अधिक भूमि रजिस्ट्री दस्तावेज भी जब्त किए गए। शर्मा तो भाग निकला लेकिन उसके बेटे को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है और उससे पूछताछ की जा रही है। इस कार्रवाई ने जिले के अन्य लैंड माफियाओं में हड़कंप मचा दिया है।
