Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has lauded the aggressive batting style of young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi, advocating for him to receive more opportunities. Sehwag noted that the 15-year-old's approach, focusing on putting bowlers under pressure from the first ball, strongly resembles his own playing philosophy. He emphasized that performance, not age, should be the primary criterion for selection in the senior team. Suryavanshi has scored 246 runs in eight T20 Internationals with a strike rate of 186.36, though competition for opening slots has limited his game time.
