IIT Bombay Professor Questioned for 8 Hours Over Student's Death Allegations

IIT Bombay professor Suryanarayan Dulla was questioned for approximately eight hours by the Mumbai Police's crime branch in connection with the death of student Sahil Wakode. Sahil's parents have accused Professor Dulla of caste discrimination and demanded his arrest. The 22-year-old student died by suicide last month, hours after being caught using a mobile phone during an exam. Professor Dulla has denied all allegations, stating he followed institute guidelines and made no casteist remarks. He was previously removed from his Dean position and sent on leave.
