Rwanda-DRC Peace Deal Faces Geneva Test

Officials from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda will meet in Geneva on September 16 and 17 to discuss the implementation of the 2025 Washington Accords. Mediators from the US, Qatar, Togo, and the African Union will attend the Joint Security Coordination Mechanism meeting. The talks aim to assess progress on key security commitments, including the DRC's neutralisation of the FDLR and Rwanda's disengagement of forces.
