Extreme Heat Events Occur More Often Off-Season

Extreme heat events are becoming more frequent outside of traditional summer months, a new study published in AGU Advances reveals. Researchers found that in regions like northwestern India, extreme heat is increasingly occurring in the two months before summer. Conversely, areas such as western Europe and southern Africa are experiencing more heat events in the two months following summer. This shift makes heat more dangerous as bodies are not acclimatized and complicates.

एजीयू एडवांसेज में छपी एक नई स्टडी के मुताबिक, गर्मी के महीनों के अलावा भी अब बहुत ज़्यादा गर्मी पड़ने लगी है। रिसर्च में पता चला है कि उत्तर-पश्चिमी भारत जैसे इलाकों में, गर्मी से पहले वाले दो महीनों में ही भयानक गर्मी पड़ रही है। वहीं, पश्चिमी यूरोप और दक्षिणी अफ्रीका जैसे इलाकों में गर्मी के बाद वाले दो महीनों में ज़्यादा गर्मी के मामले सामने आ रहे हैं।
