A South Korean court has ordered North Korea to pay 44.6 billion won, approximately USD 32.5 million, for destroying a joint liaison office in Kaesong in 2020. The Seoul Central District Court delivered the ruling on Wednesday, marking the first time the South Korean government has sued Pyongyang. The demolition occurred after ties worsened following the collapse of nuclear talks between Pyongyang and Washington.
