Mumbai Police File FIR Against Fishing Boat Owner, Crew For Illegal Diesel Procurement

Mumbai police have filed an FIR against the owner and seven crew members of the fishing boat Haridwar Krupa. The Indian Coast Guard intercepted the vessel after a 30-minute chase in the Arabian Sea. During the pursuit, the boat allegedly discharged approximately 500 litres of diesel into the sea, causing pollution. The owner, Parshuram Nakhwa, is accused of unlawfully procuring diesel from a merchant vessel. Police seized the boat, valued at Rs 30 lakh, and about 4,500 litres of diesel-like liquid.
