Indian Truck Driver Arrested For Overstaying

US immigration authorities have arrested an Indian national, Satvir Singh, who had been living illegally in the country for over eight years. Singh was taken into custody by ICE Boston on September 11 while working as a truck driver in New Hampshire. He had legally entered the US in 2017 but overstayed his visa. This arrest occurred during targeted enforcement operations at a commercial vehicle inspection station.

अमेरिकी इमिग्रेशन अधिकारियों ने एक भारतीय नागरिक, सतवीर सिंह को गिरफ्तार किया है, जो आठ साल से ज़्यादा समय से अवैध रूप से अमेरिका में रह रहा था। ICE बोस्टन ने 11 सितंबर को न्यू हैम्पशायर में ट्रक चलाते हुए उसे पकड़ा। वह 2017 में कानूनी तौर पर अमेरिका आया था, लेकिन वीज़ा की अवधि खत्म होने के बाद भी वहीं रुक गया। यह गिरफ्तारी एक कमर्शियल वाहन निरीक्षण स्टेशन पर हुई।
