The Hindu · india
The Kerala High Court has directed the state government to speed up the resolution of pending cases involving MPs and MLAs, following recommendations from the District Judiciary Registrar. This initiative stems from a suo motu petition initiated under Supreme Court directives to monitor such cases. The Registrar proposed measures like prioritizing summons and warrants, deputing dedicated police officers for process duty, and strengthening nodal officer functions. Implementing electronic service rules, including WhatsApp notifications, and enhancing videoconferencing facilities were also suggested to prevent delays.
